Bike Customizer

Articulate Storyline | Adobe Photoshop

This is a demo made in Articulate Storyline, as a personal project. This demo showcases advance use of variables & triggers.

Thought Process

As I was sifting through the web to buy a bike for myself, I came across a cool website that allowed the users to customize the bike to their taste and then order the bike.

Now, the design of the website wasn’t all that great. So, I took it upon myself to redesign it and repurpose it for a Storyline interaction.

I decided on a cool color palette of sky blue.

Design and Development

Right from the get-go, I knew this was going to be an interaction heavy demo. To keep it manageable and more importantly clutter-free, I chose to go with a simple yet elegant design.

To keep things simple, I treated this pretty much like a web design project. What does that mean? Well, it meant not worrying about retention of information. This was purely an interactive demo.

The development process was slightly tedious but repetitive. One of the first things to be done was separating the different parts of the bike and also making each of the parts in multiple colors. Phew!

With that out of the way, I used a combination of triggers and variables along with conditional statements to hook up the design.
