This is a demo created in Articulate Storyline as a personal project. The demo showcases the use of rich visual design along with instructional design principles.
Thought Process
This project was originally for a client and showcases my skills as a visual designer. However, as the project progressed, I also incorporated other elements to highlight my Instructional Design skills. A style guide was used from one of the community challenges.
The main idea behind designing this demo was to showcase the use of icons and text that animate in and out in sync with the audio.
The quiz was a fun challenge to tackle visually. The simplicity of the true or false questions initially led to a basic design. However, after another version of the design, the visuals really stood out.
Design and Development
Since this was originally a client project, the layout was set during discussion with the client. To align with the style guide used for the community challenge, certain design assets had to be adjusted. Specifically, the assets for characters and icons were modified to adhere to the style guide.
The whole process of developing it was actually pretty straightforward. Creating the animation for the icons to fade in and out was quite simple but time consuming.
